Wait just a minute, You can call us mediocre all you want, ok cool, our football program doesn’t recruit kids, we don’t even have a real feeder program anymore, we take kids who are as green as them come and we coach them up and develop them. In 5 years, well technically 4 we have gone to 2 quarterfinals and a semifinal and have produced a very good amount of all CIF kids including a 5’3 QB who passed for 3000+ yards, many programs wish they could achieve that kind of mediocrity.
Many ER people have always acknowledged La Serna’s success in the last decade, it’s been a great run, because 1 person who comes into a blog and posts certain things all of a sudden we’re toxic? You want to be upset because our coaching staff did something it needed to do to have a chance to win this past season’s game? Let’s see it was 7-0 LS with about 1 min left in the half, ER simply needed to make 1 stop and finish 1 drive and that’s a tied ball game at half, should we have gone air raid possibly gone 3 and out within a minute and given a senior laden team a shot to light up the score board just to appease anonymous posters online? As a coaching staff you do what you need to do to give your kids a fighting chance, we couldn’t even throw the ball against ourselves in practice the only alternative was to go to the ground game and eat up clock, coaching 101.
If you’re so upset about it, when you play ER in October make sure to score a touchdown every time you have the ball and you won’t be able to complain about not beating ER by 40 points.
ER just can’t handle the truth that their fanbase it toxic so they have to spin the narrative by making some bogus claim that La Serna is the Coronado of the SGV. Newsflash moron, the LS football team is mainly comprised of the same demographic of all the other programs in the district. You act as if we have nothing but Abercrombie and Fitch patrons on our team – get real. No one is bragging about 7 on 7 except for Cal, people are just tired of your crappy fanbase being salty about having a mediocre football program.
This Fall, make sure your HC doesn’t running clock himself in order to avoid a blowout loss to LS. Medrano himself stated he didn’t want to get blown out so they decided to milk the time on offense in order to keep it somewhat close. Loser mentality gets you nowhere.
I wish ER actually played they way they do in 7 on 7 instead of trying to run the ball and use the clock without scoring .. what was that LS vs ER score last season?
There are a couple who will play college football, maybe more if they decide they want to pursue it. ER has most of its team coming back, the only real key loss from last year is Villa and he played hurt most of the pandemic season so he didn’t produce as much as he could have defensively. Really excited to see Isaiah Paulo play this year, losing him right before pandemic football was a huuuuuge loss, we know what the rest of the team brings to the table. Mitchell at QB will be interesting. We did have another sophomore qb but looks like him and the dad were head cases so good riddance.

Funny how you DELETED fans remind me of the Padres fan. You talk a lot of trash but accomplish nothing. When was the last time you made the playoffs or won league? I know I know it’s tough to win league with the Whittier All Star team on the hill. Last time ER did it was in 2014 but they have been to the playoffs 4 out if the last 5 years since Medrano took over. How bout you Cal?
ER wins many of their big games with a solid if undersized defense. Pure rumor but I hear they will feature a solid defense again with several guys maybe being college level players. Medrano never goes all out to win 7″s but stresses preparation and competing. As for Del Rio Watcher comment, if La Serna has to brag about blowing out ER in a 7 that says all you need to know about LS class. They don’t have it and never have. They are the Coronado High of the SGV and every one knows it.

CAL QB Daniel Torres. An up and coming sophomore. Keep an eye out for him. He will be doing big things.
It was great to see La Serna blow out ER at their own tourney. The parents and players were “classy” in defeat as always.

El Rancho’s qb looks huge, not used to seeing 6’3 QB’s with a cannon playing for ER.
