Braves and Mr. Crybaby Knight feel great about the chances they have on crushing SV. I wonder if he would like to cancel the game. Is anyone crying… No, but they will the next time they feel threatened, I guarantee you Braves will cancel the game the next time SV goes into gear. That’s If they can comeback from the biggest disappointment athlete heist in history.

All this supposed inside information on why coaches leave or stay is so much bs. The coaches did go on record and state their feelings including Matt and Jessie when they left their schools. No point in burning bridges when you leave. The take this job and shove it era only works in cowboy songs. There really is no drama here other than you yentas. Coaches have been coming and going and getting fired since the time before Hoosiers and Remember the Titans. About 100 head football coaches leave or switch teams every season in the CIF SS including San Diego and that number has been pretty static. One thing for sure if proven guys like Jesse or Beltran and many others want to get back into coaching many schools would welcome them with open arms. And if a high school HC quits because he does not feel loved by his bosses… well who does have a job where the boss loves you, a house husband maybe if your real lucky.

El Monte didnt fire Coach C, he left on his own because after going through spring and half of summer he must have decided the juice wasnt worth the squeeze and walked away from the kids who were working for it and not wishing for it.

I’d like to point out for those who aren’t aware of the recent changes at Alhambra High that Anonymous isn’t referring to either Duane Russell or Marisa Palacios, who are now at the district office. Both former principals were—and still are—highly supportive of Alhambra’s football program.
However, I remain optimistic about the present and the future.

@dr.Phil people like saying it’s about the kids but it’s not if it was you would not have Sierra vista firing there coach and El Monte firing there coach. @ron knows this Alhambra admin fired Lou Torres for no reason. School administrators need to figure out that it’s about the kids

@ Dr. Phil: You’re right. I know from first-hand experience that at least some of them do read this stuff. That’s one of the main reasons why I’ve tried hard to stick to the facts and engage in respectful dialogue at all times. We’re setting an example for others.

Have a take folks but remember this is still about kids. Be adult and responsible after all, the kids read this content and are influenced by it.

@ Anonymous626lol: You sound as if you’re bent out of shape because Alhambra beat Temple City by 40 points. We easily could’ve scored at least 60 points against the Rams, but what’s the purpose of doing that to a team which is clearly struggling? We still scored 48 despite keeping the ball on the ground the entire second half and having a running clock from the middle of the third quarter on.
The Alhambra team appeared to be much improved against Temple City, but I’m not going to make any brash predictions. What I will predict is that our guys will be prepared and ready to play hard every time out.
I believe the Almont League title is going to be up for grabs this season. The Moors won big over Temple City, Montebello upset South El Monte, Schurr played Arroyo tough, and San Gabriel has been rolling against weaker teams. There could be three or four contenders, much like we had in 2018.

Based on everything that I’ve been able to see, Alhambra’s coaching staff has been evenhanded and fair to all of our players. I don’t think that approach could drive anyone to leave, except for those who are opportunistic and/or misled.
You seem rather incoherent there, 626. You might come across better if you can clean up your grammatical, syntax, and punctuation errors.
Anyone who has access to videos of games involving Alhambra is welcome to check the accuracy of my stats. I’ve always done my work objectively, giving everyone credit where it’s due.
Just keep on hating; I find that highly motivating.

No one is bragging about beating Los Osos, they’re just happy they got their first W. HC didn’t say “we’re back” said the team needed to finally “fight back”

No one in the DRL is impressive at this point in preseason. If ER beats Santa Ana then they will prove themselves to be the best possible team in DRL. LS needs to beat Tesoro or Culver City to do the same. Cal needs to beat Northview or Downey, Whittier needs to beat Arcadia and SF just needs to win against anyone just to feel confident leading into league.

ER can’t look ahead to anyone, we really need to clean up the slow starts because some team is going to jump all over us. ER simply has taken care of business. Montebello should be a bit better than the first 3 we faced and then the big one against Santa Ana.

I’m go call it right now Alhambra is going to win 3 are maybe 4 games if they get lucky this year. Also San Gabriel is going to beat Alhambra this year. Alhambra winning seasons are over. Due to not knowing how to keep their players happy. (Not helping their players get recruited). I forgot Alhambra stat man Ron you are a dumb DELETED lol. Learn how to count stats.
From: T. Peterson: “I’m go call it right now” “Learn how to count stats.” Is this really the way you write? Who’s the dumb DELETED?

Not sure that bragging about a win over a Los Osos team that also lost to a weak Redlands team last week is the thing to do. Coach Saying ‘were back” sounds like he is trying to convince himself. Ditto El Rancho’s 56-0 drubbing of SV. Both teams need a signature win to build on. The Lancers can for sure get it against Tesoro next week but a win for El Rancho over the comeback kids of Montebello not so much. And if El Rancho coaching can’t clean up sloppy play and penalties they are toast against better teams. That said some ups should be given to the Dons for pitching 3 straight shutouts. That’s hard to do even against 8 man football teams.

BP is rolling and SV is well back to SV but looks like the old coach from SV is getting blown out at a different school now .He could give out all these fake offers to look like a good coach ,but you have to coach and not depend on talent .He called out Damian last week ,I hope his receivers and handle Damian secondary.Wish he never backed out of the game last year against Bp ,its like the little brother beating the big brother in horse and not playing again .Hopefully SV can make it game this year 🥱

Oops! Maybe I wrote of the Chiefs obituary a little to quick. They hung tough on the road against the 10th ranked team of the SGV for 80% of the game throwing a scare into the Saints crowd. Not until the pound and ground San Dimas attack finally wore down just enough the Chiefs valiant defense could the home town team relax. This game was supposed to be a running clock after the first 10 minutes but…….if they can beat Fullerton next week we might have a Del Rio League Rumble shaping up.

It is going to be a hard year for all high school football teams. I know Santa Fe had some boys out early just like Pasadena and other schools. High school does not play on and even playing field and now with Covid-19 the playing field becomes wider. All the high school coaches know what I am talking about.

Hearty congratulations to the Santa Fe Chiefs for finally getting on the scoreboard, albeit in a losing cause. As Stallone once remarked in a Rocky film, it’s not whether you get knocked-down; it’s a question of whether you get back up. Keep improving!
