You know nothing if you think those teams suck. You left the best one off in Cypress. And if you think they suck, then you’re probably a La Serna fan. So if you think they suck, you should leave the Del Rio League and find competition with teams you don’t suck because all of those teams mentioned are traditionally better than the other 4 teams in the Del Rio League

All these teams (minus Northview and Mayfair) suck. You’ve proven nothing other than ER padding the stats. All CIF for what division? 12? Give me a break lol

El Rancho is straight garbage. Congrats on being last place in league lmfao

    you see,

Ive come to realize that this LaSellOut fanboy… and yes FANBOY… GROUPIE … is just another one of the LaBELIEBERs…

but this one has personal feelings towards The Ranch, so I will guess he was alumni at ER… now why he hates ER so much? thats the question… hates medrano? hmmmm …
    my guess
    1. Probably never got his stripe till senior year
    2. sophmore took his spot and GF senior year
    3. never made the team at ER
    4. DELETED
    5. medrano must have been that kid who took his spot lol.. and DELETED

Now this guy has worked so hard to have his son be a ALL-STAR that he could never be… probably lies to his son how great he never was at ER lol… probably tells his kid he was the star QB or RB…. ill even bet his son plays QB or RB and is stuck playing special teams and defense at Ls… lol… be a team player! … how that work out for you? … ” hes just underclassmen ” lol.. still waiting .. but id like to hear the excuse come senior year… lol… enjoy your league patch as a participation trophy SELLOUT! reason why you dont understand BLUEPRIDE .

Numbers are numbers, all area, all cif, all league it’s all there you can’t deny any of it. A program like El Rancho taking on teams like Norwalk, Northview, Garfield, Cypress, Compton, Moreno Valley, Knight, Hemet, Don Lugo, Covina, Santa Ana, Monrovia, Mayfair, West Covina and a yearly tilt with La Serna, pretty good schedule for a program who you claim to be so bad yet you can’t stop talking about.

You can’t vote for your own player, it’s up to other coaches who have nothing to do with your team to vote, no point in trying to devalue well deserved honors.

El Ranchito has one of the best offenses in the area? LOL. Against who?

When you schedule cupcakes and beat them by a huge margin then you are doing nothing but padding stats and its not a true representation of the offense. What you do against similar or better opponents is what matters. Now I don’t think ER needs a whole coaching change, other than their DC, but they do need to figure it out soon or they’ll be losing kids left and right.

    @ Pete the Greek,

Another guy who probably hasn’t watched an ER football game. Yes, it’s true that ER’s passing game has put up some impressive numbers. But if you haven’t noticed, our offense is centered around running the football. It starts and ends with the RB’s. This is a reason why we haven’t been successful this season. All of our RB’s got hurt! Whitmont should have added that there have also been multiple running backs who have been All-CIF too!

Lol do you know how all cif works? Your coach puts you up for all cif. Ofcourse he’s going to put his qb. That’s the problem your talking about stats. Passing is about putting up numbers it’s an ego pump. Running the ball is how you win in the playoffs. All stats no rings

Show me another Whittier area school with those numbers, I dare you.

South Pasadena a football power?? Not sure about that unless you are talking about the 1960’s and 1970’s. For 25 years they were also rans in the Rio. Their resurgence is only the last couple of years and even that was only good for 3rd place in the Rio. Hong is carrying that team this year, he is 100% home grown.

The passing game has worked just fine with Medrano, Actually if you see he has had success with both RB and QB’s … This year is a CRAP HOLE but …. the QB is a rookie and only a JR so we can only hope he does better next year… and for RB… i think we are down to like 6th string? lol… so they will have plenty of experience for next year.. time will tell but as always it will work itself out at The Ranch

They don’t need a transfer portal. They get players from Alhambra, El Sereno, El Monte, Highland Park, Lincoln Heights when they graduate 8th grade. And all those speed demons from the beach towns just happen to live on PCH? A cursory check has 11 hispanic footballers in San Marino and 16 in So. Pasaadena which by the way still has a wall up to keep the mexicans from coming into So. Pas from El Sereno. 5% of SM population is hispanic and 2% of males that live in SM are high school age. So c’mon be real where all these diverse players actually live when they play for football powers. You have to recruit early.

Lol, San Marino and south Pasadena don’t get any transfers. Check the cif transfer portal. Give both those coaches credit. SM has had talent for a few years now. New coach seems to be pretty solid and knows what to do with it. If el rancho wants to be good they need to change their scheme. A couple kids go down and the team turns into the bad news bears. Get out of this passing league offense you got a bunch of tough mexican kids run the ball. Guarantee if you put a Beltran or Sierra vista coach there they are a completely different program

ER won’t win until they join the recruiting and transfer game. That means bringing in coaches that are very familiar with the process. It is the way you win especially if you are a public. You think So. Pas and San Marino football players live in those resorts? Or do Palos Verdes and Corona del Mar players all live at the beach?

Oh sure because Cal high roster is loaded with talent. Maybe qb saw what he was going to work with add a bit of off season 7v7 impact and decided to transfer. Again Cal high problem is not the qb or oc. Further more how many more coaches will sell out and commit to year round football or have lower level coach’s run these activities for them in hopes of landing kids looking for greener pastures.

Both those qbs were shopping around this off season for greener pastures. But I guess the kids transfer to schurr wasn’t athletically motivated? Right. Schurr has their grifter coach who changes address for a nice fee. And then goes to the junior all American teams and sells them the dream of a first round exit.

Won’t comment on last year, I didn’t see enough but all Cal
had to do was beat Santa Fe to get into playoffs this year
Mahomes could have generated 5 tds for Cal that night . I don’t know who else. Clearly you’re upset with OC , but present QB had to function with him all year
Be glad you are somewhere else and let it go

Cal hi made such a dumb decision splitting time at QB last year, Brezeale should’ve been the QB 100% of the time and moved the other kid to WR or bench whatever. That kid would have Cal in the playoffs this year instead you are 2-8 with an impending 50 point loss and turning your gear in this weekend. Next time tell your OC to stop promising positions to mediocre players over some real talent.

@Anonymous. there’s many public schools like Mtn View in Southern California. The fact that there’s people posting about Mtn View, seems like there’s enough interest in the community. That’s a step in the right direction, the problem is bigger than just one school. It has to do so much with a demographic situation. The moment SEMHS was build, it diluted the schools talent and population. Look at all the evidence last time Mtn View qualified as a 3rd seed in CIF it was 1997. Before 1997 it was 1989, and before that it was 1987. SEMHS was build in 1992 they started competing in Varsity Sports in 1994. Talent in the area was diluted. That’s my take, however if that school ever succeeds to turn it around. It’s going to make for a great story one day. It looks like there’s plenty of people pulling for the underdog.

I’ve never seen so many posts about Mt View football!!

Sorry to say but it’s hopeless. MV will never be good at football. #1 Any kid that belongs to MV and plays for the Jets will never make it to MV. He’ll go to Arroyo or someone else will pick him up. #2 Some of their best athletes are the dummy’s that can’t get eligible. I know every school has them but MV has the most. #3 The best athletes at MV don’t always play football. They’ve had studs in other sports like baseball, basketball or soccer that will not play football because they suck. It’s a vicious cycle. #4 They haven’t had good coaching in a long time. #5 The kids they do have are not very talented. #6 MV’s students are the poorest in the league. Kids from low income homes don’t play football. Especially if they don’t have a father figure.

Not telling kids not to play other sports but remember it’s Friday night lights. Build your players get victories go get the Jets kids, talk to kids that don’t play at these other schools or wouldn’t come and play for you (recruit I guess) that’s the name of the game.
