Theories abound for why Frank McManus was let go at Mater Dei after just one season, a season in which he won big. I’ve read that Frank did a good deal of swearing with the players, and he was not nearly as well-dressed as Rollinson.

I suspect that this coach had been subject to intense scrutiny, with even the slightest hint of untoward behavior causing immediate investigation and backlash. Blame it all on dear Mr. Rollinson, the guy who brought a spotlight onto the program, where if a person now wanted to find fault, he surely would.

Mater Dei coach fired. If they don’t hire Chastain this time, they’re crazy!!!! And if you don’t think Chastain to MD doesn’t change the coaching landscape of the SGV where a lot of his ties are then your heads in the sand.

What Brady means by “late season return” is to sign with the team that wins the Super Bowl five minutes after the final gun, so he can hoist the trophy and feel the confetti again. Note to Tom: when you’re old enough to need reading glasses, your sporting life is over.
