The Chargers and Rams scrimmaged Sunday at The Bolt- the Chargers training camp facility in El Segundo.

The Chargers were without starting quarterback Justin Herbert who is out with a plantar fascia injury. He is expected to be in a boot for two weeks before rehabbing for a couple more weeks. He is expected to be ready for Opening Day on September 8 against the Las Vegas Raiders on the road.

With Herbert out Easton Stick and Max Duggan shared the quarterback duties as the Chargers offense faced the Rams defense on one field. The Rams offense faced the Chargers defense on the adjacent field.

Stafford and Garoppolo were under pressure throughout the day. The Rams were missing three offensive linemen and Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack were able to take advantage for the Chargers. The defense had several tipped passes and forced the Ram quarterbacks into hurried passes.

The Chargers forced five turnovers on the day including interceptions by Kristian Fulton and Assante Samuel Jr. Garoppolo and Stafford were each intercepted once.

Who won? There was no scoreboard but let’s just say both teams had their moments in two hours of action.
