  1. USC rallied from a 24-7 deficit to beat Texas A&M 35-31 Friday Night in the Las Vegas Bowl. 
  2. Teoscar Hernandez re-signed with the Dodgers for three years, $66 million. 
  3. Free Agent right-hander Corbin Burnes signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks for six years, $210 million. 
  4. Gleyber Torres left the New York Yankees to sign a one-year, $15 million deal with the Detroit Tigers. 
  5. UCLA beat Gonzaga 65-62 Saturday at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood to improve to 10-2 on the year. 
  6. The Rams beat the Arizona Cardinals 13-9 Saturday night at SoFi Stadium to improve to 10-6 on the year. With Washington’s 30-24 overtime win over Atlanta on Sunday Night Football the Rams clinched the NFC West. 
  7. The Chargers routed the New England Patriots 40-7 Saturday to improve to 10-6 on the year and clinch a playoff spot in the AFC. 
  8. Greg Gumbel, who spent more than 50 years in sports broadcasting and was a veteran of CBS Sports, passed away of cancer at the age of 78. 
  9. The Sacramento Kings fired head coach Mike Brown Friday after a 13-18 start this season.
  10. Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley surpassed 2,000 yards rushing Sunday as he ran for 167 yards in a 41-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

    Who is going to be good next year in high school football? Who is going to improve the most? What team will decline?
