Recruiting Update

(Downey) – The UCLA Bruins offered Downey quarterback Oscar Rios he announced on Instagram Thursday. The dual threat Four Star quarterback is coming off a junior season in which he threw for over 2500 yards and tossed 22 touchdown passes. He also added 735 yards rushing and scored 11 touchdowns on the ground.

Rios is the NO. 10 ranked quarterback in the 2026 class in the nation. He is also ranked as the NO. 22 overall prospect in California.

The Burins are the sixth school to offically offer Rios a scholarship.

    Although Rios is no Jayden Daniels, this kid is the real deal. He has decent size at 6’3″ 175, and being a dual threat, he is just what the colleges are hungry for. Being a USC fan, I hope he does land at UCLA, because the annual cross-town game would be that much better with Oscar doing his thing locally.
