- Rory McIlroy won his first Masters Sunday beating Justin Rose in a one-hole playoff.
- Former LSU receiver Kyren Lacy, 24, was found dead Saturday night in Houston. A cause of death was not immediately known.
- Tennessee is moving on from quarterback Nico Iamaleava head coach Josh Heupel informed the team. Iamaleava has missed meetings and practice Friday leading to the decision.
- The Dodgers lost two out of three to the Cubs over the weekend including a 16-0 loss Saturday night. It was the third straight series that the Dodgers have lost as they dropped to 11-6 and to third place in the NL West.
- The Cleveland Browns signed quarterback Joe Flacco to a one-year, $4 million contract.
- San Antonio Spurs’ guard Chris Paul, in his 20th season, started all 82 games this year which was the first time ever a player had made 82 starts this deep into a career.
- Cornerback Patrick Peterson will sign a one-day contract with the Arizona Cardinals and retire as a Cardinal after 13 years in the NFL. After being drafted by the Cardinals in 2011 Peterson went to eight straight Pro Bowls.
- The Portland Trail Blazers signed head coach Chauncey Billups to a multi-year contract extension despite the Blazers finishing the season with an overall record of 36-46 and out of the playoffs.
- New Orleans’ Saints quarterback Derek Carr has a shoulder injury that could put his 2025 season in jeopardy.
