Rams Notes: 4/15/2025

By Joe Torosian

How would you feel about a Rams reunion with Jalen Ramsey? Drafting a quarterback, 2026 Free Agents, and guys named Dan Reeves, Marshall Faulk, Mike Jones, and Rich Saul.

In 2024, Ramsey thrived at wide corner, slot corner, and in the box. He turns 31 this October.

I like Ramsey, he can do so many different things, but the issue is his contract. Just looking at his cap hits:
2025: 16.6
2026: 25 (18.4-Dead)
2027: 26.8 (11.7-Dead)
2028: 36.1 (4.9-Dead)

This season it’s reasonable, but it could become problematic in 2026 as Ramsey gets deeper into his thirties.

I’d be happy to accommodate if the Dolphins want to pick up some of the salary and take less in trade.

Keep hearing Jalen Milroe talk. Good with Milroe—in a trade back, but not at #26.

If Shedeur Sanders at #26—take him. I’d be tempted to take Jaxon Dart at #26.

Speaking of the draft, all the mocks show Michigan TE Colston Loveland as available #26, but I don’t see him getting by the Chargers.

Because it’s never too early. These are the Rams free agents heading into the 2026 season.

Kyren Williams, Rob Havenstein, Quentin Lake, Tutu Atwell, Tyler Higbee, Alex Ward, Kam Curl, Jimmy G., Cobie Durant, Ahkello Witherspoon, Derion Kendrick…and the usual suspects: Shaun Jolly, Tanner Ingle, Keir Thomas, Ronnie Rivers, Larrell Murchison, A.J. Arcuri…

It was also under Reeves that the Rams helmet design came about.

Reeves was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1967.

Faulk for a 2nd and a fifth, is an insanely small price for the finest running back in Rams history.
