  1. Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres 11-1 Tuesday night. 
  2. Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders has been ill and out of the office recently with an unspecified health issue. 
  3. Chargers’ head coach Jim Harbaugh had a successful cardiac ablation and hip replacement surgery in the off season. 
  4. Former Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins signed a one-year, $2.75 million deal with the Denver Broncos. 
  5. “There were conversations with other organizations, for sure. But again, the rapport that fell in between me and Mike (Tomlin) made it to where, as I was going through my personal stuff, there wasn’t any other option for me. It was here or not play.” Aaron Rodgers on his decision to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. 
  6. The Florida Panthers beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-1 Monday night to take a 2-1 lead in the Stanley Cup Final.
  7. The Angels placed outfielder/infielder Chris Taylor on the 10-day injured list. 
  8. 13 players have been invited to attend the 2025 NBA draft in New York and sit in the green room led by the projected number one pick Cooper Flagg of Duke. 
  9. On this date in 1982 Larry Holmes TKOs Gerry Cooney in the 13th round for the WBC Boxing title at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. 
  10. Also on this date in 2012 the LA Kings beat the New Jersey Devils 6-1 to win the Stanley Cup Final in six games.

    It was just 4 years ago that Poly joined Rio Hondo League and finished in 2nd place to earn an Automatic Qualifier for CIF. The program has gone down hill fast in a short amount of time. Sad to see the program get like that.

    Rodgers is attempting to be effective outside the recommended playing age of a professional athlete, which is 20-35. When you need reading glasses to sign your new sports contract, nature’s trying to tell you to hang it up.
