@ FBFan: We can add Schurr, Eagle Rock, and the University of Oregon to that list. Opposing teams must enjoy playing against Oregon on a cold, rainy day in Eugene when the Ducks are wearing their forest-green uniforms with black numerals.
It’s all about the amount of contrast between the field and the player uniforms, or the lack thereof. In the case of Boise State, I remember that the Broncos had to wear orange jerseys when they first started playing on the blue field.
@ Good Old Days: The St. Francis Golden Knights (who wear brown and gold with a little white) could have some fun with that.
NICE JOB LA SERNA LANCERS!
Damn all that school does is win.
Brown and White uniforms: Where is the football?
@Ron Vrooman,
I wonder how the opposijg teams of Bonita, South Hills, Nogales, Pioneer, Upland, Damien, Monrovia, and MANY others feel about their green camouflage???
A blue field at El Rancho; shades of Boise State. That field might provide a little camouflage for the Dons when they play in their blue home uniforms. I wonder if the opposing teams have an opinion about that.
SMURF TURF CHAMPIONS
The Burbank parents were a problem all morning to be honest. They just found the wrong ones. Probably should have let the Schurr moms get him cause a couple were not playing around after he disrespected them. No, but all jokes aside, it is sad when there is no discipline and respect and it starts at home.
They very well could have, but when you have dads talking smack to females and telling them they are going to beat their a**, calling them fat b etc, there’s no reason to keep the team there, it would’ve escalated and turned into a riot, some of us had to physically stop Burbank players from jumping in the stands… it’s simple though have your parents and players behave themselves and they can win all the 7v7 trophy’s they want.
Yeah. I guess ER planned for a Burbank parent to brag he has a pistol.
Burbank parents acting up in the stands?? What a shock. That team is not disciplined and not surprised especially the manner in which their coaches act.
Burbank was beating Schurr pretty badly. They were the top team in the tournament and probably would have won it. They would have played El Rancho in the semis. How convenient for El Rancho that their would be semis opponent was kicked out by El Rancho and they were able to just waltz right into the championship after beating Franklin in the quarters.
System is right. But Medrano is not a plug and play coach. His system is only a basis. He tweeks and shapes with what he has. The main thing is he gets his players to buy into his ideas. Pretty cool to watch. The team you see in week 0 will not be the same team in the playoffs.
@witness that’s a shame, seemed like a competitive game where the kids were overshadowed by the behavior of immature adults.
If Burbank coaches can’t control parents good riddance. Not a great idea to brag you have a pistol in PR. Glad things got under control with cops being called.
If this is EAr’s QB, then Medrano is the official QB whisperer of all time. The QB ER wanted was catching passes for LS but the QB ER has is absolutely killing it under the ER system. If this actually happens; then every QB trainer needs to quit and just send your kid to Medrano and ER staff.
One of the dad’s from Burbank called a Schurr mom a B after he was told to relax cause he was talking crap. Then called another mom a fat a$$ B. Didn’t go over well, then El Rancho people asked him to leave after saying he has a pistol and bodies will be on the floor. Cops were called ,but he was still instigating while walking out. Unfortunately, him being so vile and disrespectful costed his teams dismissal.
La Serna won as expected, a bit surprised that they had to grind it out against ER and almost went down but the ER WR dropped the winning TD in regulation, LS always deep with lots of solid ball players, a kid with a black cap on his head was all over the field for them. Not sure what went down in that Schurr vs Burbank game, but it seemed like it was getting ugly between the parents, earlier in the day I was over at the other field along Rosemead and saw Schurr got into a little dust up, kind of a shame to see it happen again later in the day. I know the coach is new and a really nice up and coming guy, but the more of those off season 7v7s you do the more your team takes on that type of attitude and culture, hope they can get that under control. The QB for ER surprised me, he was slinging that rock, that WR with the glasses is raw but looks like he’s got some nice length and runs some good routes, I heard ER lost a ton of seniors they didn’t seem to miss a beat, solid if you ask me. What the heck happened to Northview and San Dimas?
