  1. Scottie Scheffler won the Open Championship in Ireland on Sunday.
  2. The Dodgers lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 Sunday and were swept in the weekend series. The Dodgers are now just 3.5 games ahead of the San Diego Padres in the NL West. 
  3. Cincinnati Bengals rookie defensive end Shemar Stewart, still unsigned, did not report to camp. 
  4. The Seattle Seahawks released starting tight end Noah Fant after three seasons. 
  5. Aaron Judge hit his 36th home run of the season Sunday to tie Alex Rodriguez for sixth place in Yankees history as New York beat the Atlanta Braves 4-2. 
  6. The Lakers are set to sign Marcus Smart to a two-year, $11 million deal after he agreed to a buyout with the Washington Wizards. 
  7. The Clippers, after signing Bradley Beal, are strongly considering a reunion with free agent guard Chris Paul. 
  8. New Mt. View head coach Mark Paredes coached Bishop Amat to a CIF title in 1992.    
  9. The Brewers have won 10 straight games and are tied with the Chicago Cubs for the best record in baseball. 
  10. The Kansas City Chiefs signed defensive end George Karlaftis to a four-year, $93 million extension.
