The TEN: 8/20/2025

1. After falling to Colorado Monday night the Dodgers bounced back to beat the Rockies 11-4 Tuesday night. The Dodgers are two games ahead of the San Diego Padres in the NL West.

2. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford participated in a full practice Tuesday after being out with a back injury.

3. Point guard John Wall retired after 11 NBA seasons. Wall, a five-time All-Star, spent most of his career with the Washington Wizards. 

4. The Indianapolis Colts named Daniel Jones the starting quarterback against the Miami Dolphins on opening day September 7.

5. The New Orleans Saints still have not announced their starting quarterback. Head Coach Kellen Moore said he will make a decision next week between Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough.

6. The Cleveland Browns announced 40-year-old Joe Flacco will start at quarterback opening day.

7. The Indiana Pacers signed coach Rick Carlisle to a multiyear contract extension. 

8. Boxer Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr. has been deported to Mexico where he’s wanted for alleged cartel ties.

9. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed receiver Jalen McMillan on the injured reserve list with a severely strained neck. 

10. Colorado”s Kyle Karros, son of former Dodgers star Eric Karros, his his first major league home run Tuesday night against the Dodgers.

    Sit out period be damned. Either a player is eligible or not. Why should any team get a bunch of ringers to take spots of hard working players that have been there all year and use them to beat non transfer type teams? Answer me that one.
