  1. The Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds 10-5 in Game 1 of the NL Wild-Card series.
  2. AL Wild-Card Game 1 results: Detroit 2 Cleveland 1, Boston 2 New York Yankees 1; NL Wild-Card Game 1 results: Chicago Cubs 3 San Deigo 1.
  3. Ron Washington will not return as the Angels manager in 2026.
  4. Monday Night Football results: Miami 27 New York Jets 21, Denver 28 Cincinnati 3.
  5. Miami Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill suffered a dislocated knee and multiple torn ligaments, including his ACL Monday night in the win over the Jets. He underwent surgery Tuesday and is out for the year.
  6. Lawrence Moten, considered to be one of the greatest basketball players in Syracuse history, passed away Tuesday at the age of 53.
  7. USC basketball star JuJu Watkins announced she will not play in the 2025-’26 season as she continues to recover from an ACL injury last March.
  8. Muir has outscored its last two opponents 128-28.
  9. St. Francis and St. Paul are a combined 0-10 this season.
  10. Rio Hondo Prep will play First Baptist in Dallas, Texas Friday night.

    There goes their travel budget for the year.
    Must have had a lot of bake sales to afford that kind of travel for such a small school.

    #1 Bullpen and Roberts tried to give it away. 59 pitches in the 8th? If Dodgers don’t have an 8 run lead they can’t win? Not going to survive Phillies with that kind of performance

    I wouldn’t be surprised to see St Francis and St Paul both change coaches at season’s end. Too bad USC doesn’t have that option with Stinkin’ Lincoln.
