- With the 31-13 win for USC, the Trojans improve to 5-1 overall on the year and 3-1 in Big Ten play. Michigan falls to 4-2, 2-1.
- The Trojans are now 7-5 all-time against the Wolverines. Saturday’s meeting marked the first time since 1957 that the teams have faced off in the Coliseum and just the second time overall. Of the now 12 meetings between the teams, this is just the fourth time they have played in the regular season.
- USC’s 31 points were the second most the Trojans have scored in the series against Michigan.
- USC’s 224 rushing yards were the most Michigan has given up since 2022 against Ohio State (252 yards).
- USC had 489 total yards of offense, the most total yards Michigan has given up this season and the most against the Wolverines since 2022 when Ohio State recorded 492 total yards of offense.
- The win over No. 15 Michigan was the first Top 15 victory for USC since Sept. 1, 2024 against No. 13 LSU (27-20).
- RB King Miller led the Trojans in rushing with 158 yards. It was his first time leading USC in rushing yards since the first game of the 2025 season when USC defeated Missouri State 73-13. Miller’s 158 yards are believed to be the most rushing yards by a walk-on since at least the early 1970’s.
- Miller’s 49-yard run with 12:09 in the third quarter was his longest run of the season. Miller also had a 47-yard run later in the quarter.
- S Bishop Fitzgerald had 2 INTs in the game, giving him 5 INTs for the season. Fitzgerald’s 5 INTs are the most by a Trojan defender since Calen Bullock (5) in 2022. The last USC defender with more than 5 INTs in a season was Will Poole (7) in 2003.
- K Ryon Sayeri’s 54-yard field goal with 10:01 left in the fourth quarter matched the second longest FG by a Trojan in program history. It was the longest by a USC kicker since Michael Lantz had a 54-yarder against Minnesota on Oct. 5, 2024. Sayeri’s kick marks the fourth time a USC kicker has made a field goal from 54 yards or longer. The USC record is 60-yards by Don Shafer in 1986.
- QB Jayden Maiava had 265 passing yards and 2 TDs, marking the fifth time in six games Maiava has had at least 200 yards and 2 TDs.
- Maiava’s 78% completion rate was his second best of the season. His best completion rate was his 83.3% against Missouri State in the first game of the season.
- WR Ja’Kobi Lane caught the opening TD of the game with 8:57 left in the first quarter. It was Lane’s second receiving TD of the year, with both of his TDs coming on the first score of the game for USC.
- RB Bryan Jackson had a 29-yard TD run with 4:26 in the fourth quarter, marking the longest run of his career.
- Maiava’s TD pass to WR Makai Lemon with :14 seconds left in the first half gave USC a 14-7 lead at the break.
- The Trojans have led at the half in five of their six games this season. USC is 5-0 when leading at the half.
- USC had nine different receivers record catches in the game, marking the third time this season the Trojans have had catches from nine or more players.
- The Trojan defense held Michigan to a season-low 109 rushing yards.
- USC had 3 sacks in the game, marking the third time in six games USC has had 3 or more sacks.
