  1. The Dodgers lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 6-1 Wednesday night in Game 5 to fall behind 3-2 in the World Series.
  2. Game 6 of the World Series is in Toronto Friday night at 5:00 PM on FOX. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will start for the Dodgers against Kevin Gausman.
  3. Los Altos quarterback Diego Castillo was named Art’s Barbershop Player of the Week for Week 9.
  4. Norco football will forfeit all six of its wins this season due to ineligible players according to the school principal. After beating Vista Murrieta Thursday night, Norco is now 1-9 on the season.
  5. The Washington Nationals are set to hire Blake Butera as their new manager. Butera, who was a minor league manager in the Tampa Bay Rays organization, will be the youngest manager in MLB in more than 50 years.
  6. The city of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl Operating Company have sued UCLA for allegedly trying to move its college football games from the Rose Bowl to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
  7. Former Tennessee Volunteers head coach Tony Vitello has been named the manager of the San Francisco Giants.
  8. The Minnesota Twins have hired former Pittsburgh Pirates manager Derek Shelton as their new manager.
  9. Toronto’s Trey Yesavage set a rookie mark for strikeouts in a World Series game with 12 in seven innings in the 6-1 win over the Dodgers in Game 5. He surpassed the Dodgers’ Don Newcombe who struck out 11 in 1949.
  10. Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball was fined $35,000 for flipping off a referee in a 144-117 loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

    #4 I always feel bad for the legit players who have their whole season nullified. Ineligible PLAYERS? Who didn’t do their job?
