  2. The NFL has suspended Carolina Panthers safety Tre’von Moehrig one game without pay for striking San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings in the groin during the game Monday night.
  3. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is set to return Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens. Burrow has been sidelined the last nine games with a turf toe injury.
  4. Oklahoma State has hired North Texas State coach Eric Morris as its next head football coach.
  5. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani will play for Team Japan in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
