Moors Buried by Rams’ Passing Attack

By Ron Vrooman (Alhambra) – Temple City quarterback Jake Jones threw four touchdown passes, and the visiting Rams converted three Alhambra turnovers into scores in a 41-23 victory over the Moors last Friday night.

By Duane Barker (Whittier, CA) The La Serna Lancers played host Friday night to the Warren Bears and like most Bears would be, they were not a nice house guest beating the Lancers 39-21 at Thorstenson Stadium on the campus of California High School.

DeGraaf Dominant; Tartans Roll

By Tim Peterson (Glendora) – Decker DeGraaf scored three touchdowns and racked up 201 receiving yards to lead Glendora to a 46-22 rout of Charter Oak Friday night at Citrus College.

Cantwell Can Beat La Canada, 14-9

By Rich Whittington (Montebello) – The Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals improved to 2-1 Friday evening, defeating the visiting, and once undefeated, La Canada Spartans 14-9, in front of an ultra-supportive crowd at Greg Kabat Field.

Colts Outlast Brahmas, 42-32

By Tim Peterson (Covina) – Covina took the lead with just 13 seconds left in the first half and then made it stand up the rest of the way in a 42-32 win over Diamond Bar Thursday night at Covina District Field.

Spartans Win Ugly, For Sure, 21-7

By Rich Whittington (Montebello) – The Schurr Spartans logged a win against the Arroyo Knights Thursday evening, 21-7, at Ken Davis Field, in what can only be described as an early lesson in what you would like to avoid when league play begins.

Big Second Half Sparks Nobles

By Max Caster [Baldwin Park] – Nogales overcame an early deficit with a big second half and went on to beat Sierra Vista 27-8 Friday night on the Dons home field.
