Good Morning!
T-Minus-38 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodger lineup
President Obama’s minor cheap shot at Notre Dame football, is something I can fully support. I believe, right along with him, that coach Charlie Weiss’ contract is another example of what is wrong in this country. Executives getting rich, people suffering.
The question is, when will he step in and fix the problem.
The Lakers beat the Nuggets last night, 105-103, but were they impressive? I don’t know, besides the calls for breathing on Kobe, they benefitted from Denver missing 12 free throws…
Go Denver!
Someone tell Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin now is the time to leave the country. The Sooner forward no doubt will be the first pick in the NBA Draft, no doubt will go to the Clippers who own that first pick, and no doubt will have his career shattered by exposure to the team.
Since Griffin is a good citizen and exceptional talent he won’t go the Benoit Benjamin, Michael Olowokandi route to stiffdom, but can you say “Hello ACL!”
Hail to the Redskins!
Yahoo Sports Michael Silver is a polka-dotted-buffoon, then again that’s why he works for Yahoo, the “National Enquirer” of sports…His sanctimonious rant yesterday on how wicked and offensive the name “Redskins” is was pathetic.
Probably the stupidest thing on the planet is a white guy trying to act black, next is a sportswriter doing an entire column to prove he’s not a racist. “Look! Here’s 600-words that show I’m not a racist! See, I’m cool!”
Silver would do good to remember he’s a sportswriter, a poor one at that, and his lousy attempt to coax an emotional response out of his readers reveals more about his lack of talent then any insensitivity on the Washington Redskins part…
Note to Readers: Expect harsh treatment for Mid Valley staffer Andy “Did you hear about this one” Villanueva…In fact fear for his soul…
Another big win for the Bums last night, but Orlando Hudson is listed as day to day after bruising his shoulder…An absence of Hudson from the lineup will hurt worse than the absence of Ramirez, which has had little effect.
Can I get an “Amen” from Scanlan on that one?
When does Disney acquire the film rights to Angels starter Matt Palmer who is currently 5-0? The right hander, now 30, didn’t reach the bigs until he got a cup of Joe with the Giants last season.
A better story is Detroit’s Dontrelle Willis. The left hander has a classic delivery, is fun to watch, and now has his first victory as a Tiger.
