Good Morning!
T-Minus-36 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodger lineup
So you don’t think the Dodgers are missing Manny?
There are fewer Marines on base at Camp Pendleton then what the Bums left on base last night against the Angels.
Nice crowd yesterday at the Gahr-Alhambra playoff game.
The things you think about between innings, besides getting even with Andy Villathedevil, tax increases, and judicial activism, it came to me that I have never seen Gahr play.
What is Gahr?
Football, baseball, basketball, never. I saw Ralph Garr play for the Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox, I saw Gar Heard play for the Buffalo Braves and Phoenix Suns…but in the twelve years I’ve been back covering prep sports I never saw a Gahr team play until yesterday…
Obligatory Mention of Scanlan: Old Johnny Blue-State called it. After the teams were tied 2-2 midway through the third, he said Gahr had hitters but didn’t think its pitching would hold up. It didn’t and the Moors won 8-4.
Now that I think of it, in football I’ve never seen South Pasadena play at home.
I never got into the New American Standard, or any of the paraphrases, but after watching Cleveland-Orlando Friday I’m ready to check out the the King James Version…(I guess that’s bad huh? Well all the jokes can’t be good you have to expect that once in a while.)
The Magic came back from being 23 down without pounding the ball inside to Dwight Howard…The series may be tied, but the Cavs are in trouble.
Cleveland’s bench scored only 14, Orlando got 26.
Say one nice thing about the Angels and they abuse it…
Has it been mentioned before? Chone Figgins looks a lot like Willie Randolph…and if you are really old Clayton Kershaw resembles Wes Parker…
Funny what a Dodger loss in a Freeway Series can do. Losing to the Angels is like being sentenced to Joe Biden, in any form.
Four-year varsity man, Cody Heaton delivered for the Moors again yesterday. I asked Kevin Heaton, his dad, if after seeing his son bat at least a 1,000 times growing up if it got any easier.
“No, it gets worse,” the senior Heaton said. “Sometimes I get so worked up its hard to watch.”
Who will last longer: Lane Kiffin at Tennessee or Eric Mangini with the Cleveland Browns?
