(Burbank) – Hector Valencia has stepped down as the head coach at Burbank after five seasons sources confirmed Saturday.
Valencia cited the need to spend more time with his family as the reason for his decision. The Bulldogs went 10-3 in Valencia’s final season and advanced to the semi finals of the Southeast Division playoffs where they fell to La Serna.
Valencia went 37-20 overall during his five year tenure and won the Pacific League title in 2009. Valencia plans to remain on staff as an assistant.
