  1. South Hills pitcher Sterling Patrick, who was selected in the 18th round of the MLB draft by the Dodgers, has signed with the club. 
  2. MVS Twitter Poll: Who wins the Zero Week matchup? Results: 164 votes: Don Lugo 62% El Rancho 38%. 
  3. The Pasadena Trojans and Pasadena Panthers have merged to form the Pasadena Wolves. They still practice at Victory Park. 
  4. Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison, from USC, was cited Thursday morning for driving 140 mph on a freeway just outside of St. Paul. 
  5. The Angels beat the Yankees 7-3 Wednesday to complete a sweep of the three-game series. 
  6. The Cincinnati Bengals will induct former quarterback Boomer Esiason and wide receiver Chad Johnson into the franchise’s ring of honor in a ceremony at halftime of the September 25 game against the Rams. 
  7. On this day in 1996 Wayne Gretzky signed a two-year deal with the New York Rangers. 
  8. Former Rams wide receiver Henry Ellard turns 62 today. 
  9. The Dodgers’ Max Muncy is batting .188 on the season.

    Baldwin Park American Little League Junior softball All Star team won State title, They are now playing in Tucson Arizona Western Region junior softball. Today Saturday they beat a team from Nevada 10-4 in their first game winner of this tournament goes on to Jr girls softball World Series.

    @Ten. You are a true American hero. Your bravery in denying science and in adhering to internet/trash tv opinion truly embodies American Masculinity. I bet strong men quiver and women become instantly pregnant when you pass them in Walmart, and the wisest of scholars kowtow to your elevation of the human mind when you claim that Henry Aaron died of the vaccine and not of natural causes. You’re probably the envy of all the other boomers that are a part of your breakfast group when you laugh off the death of roughly 1 million Americans. But then again you’re probably not aware of this since you can probably only count to ten.
