I checked with some people I know at SP. In general, the offense was just not in sync at all. The o-line could not create any holes for the duo running backs that they are using this season. Schurr did their homework and stacked the box. The QB, Zach Lee, has never had a strong arm and because they couldn’t run, it forced him to throw more with not very good results. Apparently Zach also got hit a lot and is really banged up and there is a question as to whether he will start against Arcadia on Friday. They have a Senior back up QB, but he is on the small side and doesn’t have a lot of game experience. Sounds like the o-line needs to get much better and open holes up for the running backs if they are to be competitive this season.
@Low Profile, it seems like the game was only competitive for the 1st half. Based on the game recap and Max Preps. The 2nd half was all Schurr as it sounds like SP defense ran out of gas as they may have been on the field most of it. I think Hong was THE South Pas offense last year. Max Preps has them with a total offense of around 130 yards. I know some people at SP, I will have to see what the situation is over there.

If they can be competitive with Schurr , they will have a good season.
Number 17 on the upper right corner is the one to watch on South Pas now that Hong is gone.
