*Note: If we missed anyone please let us know. There were over 100 coaching changes in Southern California in the last year.
@ Low Profile: We’re hoping for a significant improvement this season. However, it will take hard work, dedication, team cohesion, and discipline.
The best advice I can give is to not overlook any opponent or be intimidated by any, and also to not give up at the first sign of adversity.
@Ron . That’s the attitude that you have to have. And the right thing to do . Because of that alone, I know you would do a better job than the chosen one . Should t have too much of an effect on your football season tho ; hope you guys can improve off last year
@ TW: I appreciate the info. We’ve experienced a lot of changes in the 22 years I’ve been with Alhambra’s football program; I’ve worked with six head coaches, and we’ve also had five different athletic directors during that time.
I try to enter every situation with an open mind; I also believe that everyone deserves a fair chance. I want all who are involved with our program to succeed.
@Stat man
It’s true it’s in his x bio sorry for you guys
Ever consider applicants for head football coaching has deteriorated
Head football coaching , if done right , is more difficult than AD job. I have seen several A D positions open and only one applicant
@ MVLwatcher87 & Sideline Demeanor: Michael Humphries has been Alhambra High’s AD for the last two years, and I’m not aware of anyone being hired to replace him. I hope that whoever is doing the job this year capably represents the school and effectively runs the athletic program.
I have to admit that I’m off the grid right now due to the fact that I’m on summer vacation from my substitute teaching job with the district. I typically reconnect once school begins a couple of weeks before the first game.
@socal…he is an alum with NFL credentials . It’s easy to make resume look good in competitive equity era . Administration doesn’t often see beyond superficial markers . It will be interesting how this , but have to admit discussing this very issue with colleagues today,
Why would Bishop Amat choose a coach that failed in his last two stops? It’s obviously they went after a big name instead of a good Coach. This is going to backfire and set them back years.
I want our fearless Alhambra insider to comment and enlighten us on possible Moye hire as AD ..::::
If true , what are schools thinking ? SGV football seems to be only place where losing , poor conflict resolution, and questionable role modeling lead to promotion.
Moye is horrible at everything i think. He’ll last a year.
Word has it, they let Moyé on as the AD at Alhambra. Interesting move for a guy who couldn’t even control one program…..
Maybe Pete Moye and Travis Brown can now finish their dustup without embarrassing their former teams
