Mt Sac 36 Desert 10 (Sept. 18, 2010 at Desert)
Nick Lamaison (South Hills) had a huge day in the win passing for 422 yards and three touchdowns. All three touchdowns went to Michael Edwards (Glendora) who caught seven for 216 yards. Marcus Wagner (Bishop Amat) had 56 yards on 10 carries and Michael Harrell (Charter Oak) had a catch for two yards. Jeremy Brown (Los Altos) booted five field goals of 36, 19, 26, 38 and 29 yards.
On defense, Deshawn Gaisie had three tackles.
PCC 34 L.A. Valley 17 (Sept. 18, 2010 at Pasadena CA)
The win moves Pasadena to 3-0 and local talent made some noise. Michael Harrison (Pasadena) had six catches for 88 yards, Devance Harris (Charter Oak) had five for 73 and a touchdown. Harris also had two kick returns totaling 66 yards. Reuben Thomas (Muir) had 37 yards receiving and seven on returns. Brian Gonzalez (Alhambra) had two field goals of 24 and 35 yards.
Defensively Grant Haggard (Monrovia) had eight tackles. Joey Dixon (Blair) had seven and Cordell Robinson (Muir) had three. Marcus Graves (Muir) had an interception that he returned 16 yards.
Fullerton 21 L.A. Pierce 24 OT (Sept. 18, 2010 at Fullerton, CA)
Fullerton dropped to 2-1 in a loss in overtime. Derrick Alexander II (Monrovia) grabbed two ball for 19 yards.
On defense, Jamal Brown (South Hills) had 4 tackles and Adrian Lopez (Santa Fe) had two.
ELAC 33 Glendale 13 (Sept 18, 2010 at Monterey Park, CA)
For ELAC Darion Green-Simpson (Pasadena) had five receptions for 60 yards and a score and a kick return of 12 yards.
The defense was led by Mitchell Garner (Muir) with four tackles, Ryan Beatty (Alhambra) with three, Chris Dunlap (Muir) two and Garrett Carillo (El Rancho) one.
On offense for Glendale, Reynaldo Reyes (Blair) had two catches for 26 yards.
Durriae Williams (Duarte) had a big night on defense hauling down seven ball carriers. Thaddeus Brown (Pasadena) and Davon Jackson (Muir) each had six tackles and Charles Hendricks (Pasadena) had one.
Cerritos 48 Long Beach 28 (Sept. 18, 2010 at Norwalk, CA)
Angel Sanchez (Schurr) was the only local player with any recorded numbers. Sanchez recorded two punts that totaled 77 yards.
Citrus 24 Canyons 38 (Sept 18, 2010 at Santa Clarita,CA)
On offense Brandon Stansell (Rowland) led the team with 82 yards on 16 carries and added 90 yards on kick returns. Ricky Johnson (West Covina) had five carries for 25 yards and Fernando Noriega (El Monte) had a carry for nine yards. Noriega also had six tackles on defense. Rauley Zaragosa (Azusa) had two carries for two yards, three receptions for 42 yards and punted six times for a total of 214 yards. B.J. Oyefeso (Rowland) had one big catch for 34 yards and a touchdown.
The defense was led by Kevin Puckett (Pomona) and Jesse Taviliili (West Covina) who each had eight tackles. Nico Barbone (San Dimas) added four. William Sanchez (Monrovia), Josyah O’keefe-Lopez (Charter Oak) and Mitch Mullaly (Northview) each had two with O’Keefe-Lopez adding a sack. Jabril Pearson (West Covina), Jesse Prieto (Bishop Amat), Gabriel Flores (Amat) and Arthur Ball (Rowland) each chipped in with a tackle.
