[Montebello] – I sat down with Schurr quarterback Jacob Torres who led the Spartans to a 7-4 record and an undefeated league title as a freshman. Torres’s threw for 1,226 with 15-touchdowns and only four interceptions he also added three rushing scores.

(Arcadia) – Matt Manzo drove a pitch into the gap in left-center field with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to score Jordan Vogel and give Arcadia a 3-2 win over Simi Valley Friday at Giambrone Field. With the victory the Apaches advanced to the second round of the CIF Division 3 playoffs.

I risk hypocrisy here because I’m going to watch these games, but does anyone find the NFL’s holiday schedule a bit invasive?
And a little bit scary in that the culture has finally found something we can’t say no to on a major holiday?
