(Montebello) – The Rio Hondo Prep Kares traveled to Montebello to take on the Schurr Spartans Friday night at Ken Davis Stadium on the campus of Schurr High School. The Kares picked up where they left off during the regular season last year with a win shutting out the Spartans 35-0.

Baldwin Park – The La Serna Lancers wanted to start the 2026 campaign off with a bang Friday night when they traveled to Baldwin Park. They only needed the first 24 minutes of play to start the season thanks to quarterback Grady Long, who led an offensive onslaught as the Lancers routed the Braves 55-7.
