Spartans Dominate Falcons In First Round

By Duane Barker (Montebello) The Schurr Spartans faced the Valley Falcons Friday night at Ken Davis field in the first round of the Division 11 playoffs. The Spartans got huge games from Miguel Aguero, Kevin Lopez and Francisco Remigio in the complete domination of the Falcons in a 49-14 rout.

Gold Coast Title Belongs To Paraclete

(Lancaster) The Paraclete Spirits and the Sierra Canyon Traiblazers did battle on Friday night at Brent Carder Marauder Stadium on the Campus of Antelope Valley College for the Gold Coast League title. After four quarters the Spirits came out on top with a 26-7 victory and Gold Coast bragging rights for the year.

Spartans Lock Up The Almont

(Montebello) Behind six touchdown passes from Miguel Aguero, the Schurr Spartans locked up the Almont League title Friday night with a 56-10 drubbing of the Bell Gardens Lancers at Ken Davis field on the campus of Schurr High School.

Titans Too Much For TC

(San Marino) The San Marino Titans and the Temple City Rams hooked up in Rio Hondo League action Friday night. The Titans never trailed en route to a 49-19 win in front of  the large homecoming crowd.

Charter Oak Confirms Dominance In The Hacienda

(Hacienda Heights) The Charter Oak Chargers traveled south to Hacienda Heights to take on the Los Altos Conquerors in Hacienda League action. An early 7-0 by the Conquerors was quickly erased and the Chargers routed Los Altos 39-7 Friday night.

Paramount Pirates Get The Upset Over Downey Vikings

(Downey) The Paramount Pirates traveled into the hostile waters of Allen Layne Stadium in Downey Friday night. The game was tied after regulation and in the end, an extra point was the difference as the Pirates outlasted the Vikings 21-20 in both teams San Gabriel Valley League opener.

Cougars Ride Scoby’s Return to Victory Over Wolves

By Joe Torosian (Glendora)–Western Oregon jumped to an early lead and fought back to a 17-17 tie before APU went on a 31-0 run to take a 48-17 victory over the Wolves at Citrus Stadium on Saturday night.

Mustangs No Match For Falcons

(Glendale) The Crescenta Valley Falcons hosted the Muir Mustangs Friday night at Moyse Stadium on the campus of Glendale High School. The Falcons did it on the ground and through the air en route to a 38-8 win over the Mustangs in Pacific League action.
