Mountain View has very little. Coach has put in some frills , but as I noted in earlier post , Workman was more physical team when faced off v MV . Workman. They handed game to MV but the underlying message remains the same …
They might have hard time with Keppel who will be pumped up for this game .

Congratulations to Workman who got a win over West Adams as another SGV team finds the joy of scheduling City section cellar dwellers .

I thought we might see a post about how Glendale could have won vs Royal (49-12). If they didn’t let their RB average 10 yards a carry , and let their QB complete every attempted pass they would have been right there . And it was only 21-6 at halftime …Also what’s with all the PFs and after play skirmishes with Nitros ?

@Panther . I know you need another LB , but have to question playing your QB at inside backer when the entire offense revolves around him and when he goes down you are entirely SOL , down the creek with no paddle .

Last night’s 28-9 Damien loss to Servite teaches us to think long and hard before taking any area team to win against a Trinity school. There is a reason those six programs were put into their own league, and the Spartans were reminded of that reason in this meeting.

Burbank vs Centennial Bakersfield was an absolutely great football game. I know I talk about them way too much probably but both teams were making plays and it was just a great game. The Burbank defense caused Centennial to turn it over 3 times in the red zone and got a game winning safety with 1:30 left. As far as some other games go, Muir may have a sub par coaching staff, but it shows how talented and good they can be if they can defeat Redondo Union basically without a QB. I’m pretty sure I said it wasn’t gonna go well for them if Agbunag didn’t play and they definitely shut me up, so props to them. Also real quick, my god what happened to Rowland? Went 10-0 last year and now they are 0-5 with a blowout loss to a below average Diamond Bar team, what in the world happened to them this year?!

?? Is it Paredes’s second or third season at MV now? Well I thought (yet I am far from having a real good ability in predicting anything on MV’s possible chances of positive achievement ) they would get a little better playing for a head coach with Paredes’s successes in his previous head coaching and assistant coaching experience over a long time in this game. But it is appearing to be a fact that ‘even the CIF ‘s hall of fame coach’ ” may not bring MV up even a little into a higher level of play? I still have some hope they will start to improve but getting blown out is continuing to be typical story for MV? I think I read this is the possible season that they have best opportunity to earn a playoff berth competing against some of the weakest teams around. Even possible if they win just one game but still the one victory will still leave it a long shot ? This new wave woke like opportunity , not only for them but for similar teams in the CIF, might be close to a “last chance’ kind of thing I suggest. Now please bloggers don’t think I think I am a good evaluator here on this focus because i am not claiming to be a good at it. How many ? How many playoff berths has MV earned in football during it’s over 50 years in the game? FOUR? YES ? FOUR? In the eighties twice I remember and the Mission Valley League was actually very good during those years and playing in a much greater division. After that maybe ? two more times they earned the playoffs. But still no playoff wins , I wish the best for Mountain View High school and all of the players who most likely put as much preparation (especially under Coach Paredes) as most high school teams put in?
