Good Morning!

T-Minus-15 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodgers lineup

Orlando’s Hedo Turkoglu opts out of 7-million contract to become a free agent…is someone going to pay him more than that?

Does Sports Illustrated’s “Chosen One” Bryce Harper’s decision to opt out of his final two years of high school nauseate you?

Couple the insanity of Harper’s parents with the riot after the Lakers win and you understand why Karl Marx said “Sports is the opiate of the masses…”

Obligatory John Scanlan question of the day: Scanmeister tell us what you think about Harper?

Bill Laimbeer resigned his coaching position in the WNBA to pursue a career in the NBA…Good thing is Laimbeer should win any argument with a player when push comes to shove…

The ESPN guys list their top nine highlights of the season so far…and there wasn’t one about the Dodgers who have the best record in baseball…

Last time I saw Milwaukee and Cleveland go at it like they did last night the Bucks Bob Dandridge feasted on the Cavaliers Bingo Smith…

The Oakland Raiders signing of Greg Ellis was a good deal…The retiring of Al Davis would be even better…

The guy to keep an eye on this year in San Dimas could be linebacker Ryan Kohler…but  Valle Vista defenses should remember Northview’s Kamaron Germany is coming back as well…

Throw some returning Mid-Valley division returning runners better than Germany at me…

“Football Rush Week” is coming

With Brandon Marshall demanding a trade anyone want to start taking overs and unders  on how long Josh McDaniels lasts as head coach of the Denver Broncos?

Got this email from a local coach about the budget crisis:

“It’s really sad, because it’s difficult to even raise money any more for the programs, because there are so many restrictions. I am already hearing that next year it’s going to be much worse. The sad, but true fact is that for many of our local athletes, the opportunity to be involved on a team and build those relationships and experiences is in my opinion often just as important in their life as the academic requirements they receive. It will be very saddening and a great loss if that opportunity becomes much more limited.”

The Boston Celtics last four titles have been won in 2008, 1986, 1984, and 1981…Did you know the Lakers have won the title the following season each time?

Did you know the Dodgers last won a title in 1988, the same year the Lakers beat the Detroit Pistons in seven…?

Stay thirsty my friends…
