Cesar Yerena and the Vikings are tied for first with Gabrielino with one game left

Mt. View 51 Rosemead 35     

The Vikings jumped out to a football score 28-14 halftime lead and never looked back in a 51-35 win over Rosemead.

Danny Villalobos had a big night for Rosemead scoring 19 points but he was the only Panther in double figures and it wasn’t nearly enough.

Mt. View improved to 7-2 in league.   

Gabrielino 65 El Monte 49

James Epstein scored 16 points and Ben Chan added 12 to lead Gabrielino to a 16 point win over El Monte. Tyler Shimamoto added 11 points and rounded out his line with 8 assists and 7 steals.

The Eagles put the Lions away early racing out to a 22-4 first quarter advantage and led 33-14 at the break. Gabrielino is even with View at the top of the MVL at 7-2.

South El Monte 51 Arroyo 43

South El Monte outscored Arroyo 17-7 in the third quarter to overcome a three point halftime deficit and went on to beat the Knights by eight.

Anthony Villacis led the way for South with 20 points and Ray Natividad was in also in doubles with 15. Mark Roche led the Knights attack with 16 and Sam Aholoka chipped in 11. Sam “Red” Torres pulled down 11 rebounds.

The loss was big for Arroyo dropping them one game behind league leaders View and Gabby.
