(El Monte) – Nowalk led 3-1 after the first two innings and added four in the seventh to ice it in a 7-1 win over Arroyo in the CIF Division 7 Quarterfinals Friday at Arroyo.
Marcus Castillo went two for four with three RBIs in the contest for Norwalk including a key hit in the seventh inning. Jesus Sanchez also drove in two runs for Norwalk with a base hit.
Edwin Figuerora went the distance for the Lancers allowing 10 hits but just one run. He struck out seven and walked one.
The Knights only run came in the second inning when Andres Mardueno reached base and came around to score.
Oscar Lopez started and went five innings for Arroyo allowing three runs.
With the victory Norwalk advances to the Semi-Finals next week to take on South El Monte.
