Glendora Interviews Four

(Glendora) – According to sources, four candidates interviewed Friday at Glendora for the Head Football Coach position that has been vacant since Mark Pasquarella resigned in February.

The Tartans are hoping to have the field narrowed down to two within a week with a replacement to be named by May 1.

Sources said Glendora assistant Jerry Lewallen is being strongly considered for the position but the leading candidate is La Puente Coach Brandon Rohrer. The only obstacle in hiring Rohrer is that he would require a teaching position at Glendora to go with it.

That could be resolved if Pasquarella, a math teacher, leaves Glendora to take a Vice Principal position at a high school in the El Monte School District. It would be a perfect fit since Rohrer teaches math as well.

Rohrer also served as an assistant under Pasquarella before taking the La Puente job.
