Good Morning!

T-minus-5 until Manny Ramirez returns to Dodgers lineup

You get the feeling after last night, and the CIF final against Paraclete, Matt Koffler is just about done with punt returns going back for touchdowns…

First thing East coach Jim Arellanes said to his team was, “You scared the (deleted expletive) out of me you were so flat in the beginning…”

Amazing what a coach sees and what a sportswriter thinks he sees…

(And every coach in America shouts AMEN!)

And the officiating stunk…

(And Tra Sumler shouts PREACH IT BROTHER!)

Last year’s West hero Tommy Cogburn is alive and well and getting ready to ball with Golden West this September…Former South El Monte linebacker Mark Garcia, still in great shape, was at the game with him…

For those worried there might be trouble in Wilson Land, I spoke to Brian Zavala and he said all was well…and his team did look good out at the Bonita Tourney in pool play on Friday…

Rowland’s Brandon Stansell is fast…still…

Not to rub it in, but didn’t I say the East was going to win?

Someone said my prediction only counts if I give a final score…Okay, let me concentrate, untiemybowtiewhostolemyhonda! Got it! East 34 West 9…

Gypsy quarterback coach John Tuttle was at the Hall of Fame game last night…no doubt lining up interviews…

And I didn’t see a free agent representative from the League of Baldheaded Men standing next to Tuttle…or next to Mike Mooney & family…or next to D.R. Moreland…

Isn’t Ricky Rubio just a little too pretty?

DSC_0032At the start of this paragraph we are 228 words in on this edition of Fanview Lite and only now are we mentioning the Dodgers and Andre Ethier’s three home runs against the Mariners last night.

Do you know who the last Dodger was to hit three blasts in a game was?

The Obligatory Throwing of John Scanlan a Bone: Hee-Seop Choi, June 12th, 2005…Choi currently works selling concessions on the Blue Level at Dodger Stadium…

I cannot wait to get up on Sunday, go to church, eat lunch, hang with my kids, and completely miss the USA-Brazil soccer match…

The bigger question regarding the Confederations Cup is who’s televising it and do they have permission to break away from coverage about Michael Jackson’s last meal and dreams for the future?

Stay thirsty my friends…
