"So goodbye, I'll be leaving. I see no sense in this crying and grieving and we'll both live a lot longer if you live without me."

Good Morning!

Wow, back to back columns…How fortunate or unfortunate you must feel… (I just don’t want to ‘clown’ anyone)

Feel like I just got back from vacation…

Good to see Big George in such great shape…no late runs to King Taco in his routine…

Did you see the grass underneath the feet of Mt. View’s Ignacio Castanada and Keivon Flores in our story about the Vikings this weekend? That is definitely “Bad Dude” turf…

Enjoyed the Ridley Scott documentary “Gettysburg” last night on the History Channel…It was about time someone gave an account of what took place on Culp’s Hill during the three day battle…and it was okay not to put the spotlight on Little Round Top (its been covered)…but please how do you spend two hours talking about the greatest battle on American soil and not mention the First Minnesota? Please…

Not mentioning the First Minnesota at Gettysburg is like not mentioning Matt Wofford when talking about San Marino football…Not only is there a possibility the junior may end up running the Titans triple-threat attack, but he may be another Yortsos in the making…Good news for the San Marino faithful…

Oh, I’ve always been a Dallas Mavericks fan…Give me some Jay Vincent and Rolando Blackman and I’ll be alright…

I believe it when people say that Jim Tressel is a good man…I believe the stuff I read about his players loving and supporting him…and I believe we have to see more to the man than his recent mistakes…

But does that same logic apply to someone like Jerry Tarkanian?

While I’d like to take credit for being a sweater vest guy, the look really belongs to Jim Hickman.

It’s a new journey for Carlos Mota this summer…

At 2:PM yesterday I said this; “I’m sick of James Loney…He makes me long for the days of Greg Brock.”

A few hours and three hits later; “Oh, I’ve always been a James Loney fan.”…Love that guy…At least until Hal Morris becomes available…

Note to Drew Brees: I’ve very glad you were happy with the 50/50 deal the players had with the owners…Great…But you’re not an owner and you have no right to a 50/50 deal…Assume the financial risk an owner does or do something else…Put that degree you got from Purdue to work…But you are entitled to nothing…

The El Monte 7-On-7 alumni football game will be held on Thursday, July 21st. at 5:PM…Cost is $20.00…Contact HC Joel Sanchez at 626-5045 if you are interested.

I’d like to see the South El Monte girls pull off the upset today…

The Dude abides…
