Good Morning!

T-minus-59 until “The Mid Valley Classic”

Doesn’t a Home Run Derby invite performance enhancing drugs to be part of baseball?

I don’t know, a trillion bucks doesn’t seem to buy what it used to…

If you’re looking to add calories in this tough economy I suggest Rio’s Pizza in Montebello…

I’m telling you SG HC Keith Jones looks like “The Man from the Future”…

Two things MVN guys Duane Barker and Tim Peterson raved about on Saturday at the SGV Shootout were; Gladstone quarterback Paul Flores and Charter Oak’s A.J. Powell on offense.

Former Bell Gardens offensive lineman Cesar Estrada’s 30-yard touchdown run in the Fiesta Bowl, on a designed play, was the highlight of the game whenever Iowa State bound-former Palmdale quarterback Brandon Mims wasn’t on the field.

Someone asked me if CO would consider trading one of its three quarterbacks to Rosemead for Luis Diaz…

The mercenary in me would love trades at the high school level.

How about a dispersal draft for sportswriters from defunct newspapers?

The Utah Jazz reportedly are considering taking out a bank loan to match the offer sheet free agent forward Paul Millsap got from the Portland Trail Blazers…I wish I had an offer sheet, but somehow I don’t think the Mid Valley would take out a bank loan to try and keep me… Like I said a trillion bucks doesn’t buy what it used to.

We haven’t seen the last of Brian Griese, he’ll turn up sometime in 2009…probably in Minnesota around Week Ten after Brett Favre blows out his shoulder, Tarvaris Jackson blows a pair of games, and management realizes that no matter how much money you give a player named Sage Rosenfels he will always be Sage Rosenfels….Enter Griese.

Now that the opportunity is here, NBA teams need to take advantage of the down and out Allen Iverson. Let him vanish. I’m not going to say he’s a cancer, but lets just say he’s the equivalent of herpes…and the Clippers definitely don’t need him.

Blake Griffin looked great against the Lakers summer team in Las Vegas last night. Two things to remember; he was playing against the Lakers summer team featuring Adam Morrison as its best player. The second is when is the injury going to happen.

It’s a curse to be a Clipper. A curse!

I wonder if Iverson is promising to come to practice…

Stay thirsty my friends…
