(Whittier)- Pasadena quarterback Brandon Cox accounted for all eight of his team’s touchdowns in the Bulldogs 57-43 victory over California at Whittier District Field on Friday night.

Cox totaled  19 of 25 for 408 yards passing in outgunning the Condors with six touchdown passes and two runs for scores.

Combined both teams registered 1,076 yards of total offense.

Cal’s ground game was lead by Lawrence Gomez’s 161 yards and four touchdowns. Justin Dankert rushed 126 yards and a touchdown. Gabriel Lozano finishes with 227 yards and four scores.

Riian Simpson (11-194 yards) and Keith Law (3-130 yards) each caught three Cox scoring throws. Including Simpson’s 23-yarder with 3:10 to play that iced the affair.

Gomez put his team up with 7:42 to play in the first quarter on a 4-yard run, afterwards it became a game of catch up with Cox and the PHS Track Team.

The end of the fourth quarter also ended a very good season for Cal that saw them go 7-4 overall and finish second in the Del Rio League. For Pasadena it snapped a two game losing streak, improved to 6-5, and get a date at home with defending Southeast champion West Covina.
