1.         Pasadena Bulldog Brandon Cox accounts for eight touchdowns (six passing, 2 rushing) in first round playoff win over Cal.

2.         Marquis Bias 206 yards and a touchdown in win over Pomona.

3.         USC beats Oregon in Eugene at Autzen Stadium.

4.         ELAC wins American Championship Bowl 42-28 over Santa Monica.

5.         Muir sends Jack Mahlstede in to retirement with 39-7 win over Santa Fe.

6.         Baylor’s Robert Griffin III 479 yards and four touchdowns against Oklahoma.

7.         On this day in 1934 The New York Yankees purchased the contract of Joe DiMaggio from San Francisco of the Pacific Coast League.

8.         Detroit’s Matthew Stafford throws five touchdowns but not one to Calvin Johnson.

9.         Iowa State knocks off Oklahoma State.
