Tito Ortiz Signs with UFC

-Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz (15-6-1) has signed back with the UFC.

 

-Rising welterweight Brock Larson (26-2) will face Mike Pierce (9-1) at UFC Fight Night 19.

 

-Lightweights Jim Miller (14-2) and Thiago Tavares (14-3) along with welterweights Paul Daley (21-8-2) and Brian Foster (10-3) are set to meet at UFC 103.

 

-Joe Stevenson (30-10) and Spencer Fisher (23-4) are set for a lightweight battle, that is targeted for UFC 104.

 

-Three fights that were supposed to be on the Affliction card L.C. Davis (13-2) and Javier Vazquez (13-2) have agreed to meet on Aug 9 under the WEC banner, and Ben Rothwell (30-6) will take on Chase Gormley (6-0) at UFC 104. Also Renato “Babalu” Sobral (35-8) will defend his Strikeforce light heavyweight title against Gegard Mousasi (25-2-1) on Aug 15.

 

-After Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem pulled out of the fight due to injury, Fabricio Werdum (14-1) will stay on the Aug 15 Strikeforce card and face Mike Kyle (12-6-1). Kyle is coming off the biggest win of this career a knockout of Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante.

 

-WEC has announced two bouts for WEC 43, Mark Hominick (16-8) will face Deividas Taurosevicius (10-3), and Anthony Njokuani (10-2) will take on Muhsin Corbbrey (7-3).

 

-With Rob Emerson (9-7) out of his bout against George Roop (9-4) due to injury, “TUF” veteran George Sotiropoulos (9-2) will take his place at UFC 101.

 

-Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Vitor Belfort (16-8) will battle for UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin (25-4) in the main event at UFC 103.

 

Affliction Fighters new homes:

 

-Paul Daley (WW), Ben Rothwell (HW), Chase Gormley (HW), Dan Lauzon (LW), Rafaello Oliveira (LW) and Vitor Belfort (MW) have signed with the UFC.

 

-Jay Hieron (WW), Gegard Mousasi (LHW), and Fedor Emelianenko will head to Strikeforce.

 

-LC Davis (FW) and Javier Vazquez (FW) will take their talent to the WEC.
