League play has started with no real surprises. Muir and Pasadena are both unbeaten in the Pacific while Bonita is in control in the Hacienda. Mayfair is perfect in the Suburban and La Canada has started out of the gate quickly in the Rio. Is anybody better than Village Christian? Well maybe Maranatha who is also right there in the Olympic.
1. Village Christian (18-2) – Bryan Alberts averaging over 18 a game.
2. Muir (16-1) – Huge Friday night matchup with Pasadena.
3. Maranatha (14-4) Tuesday night- Maranatha vs. Village Christian.
4. Bonita (14-4) – Bearcats haven’t been tested in league.
5. Pasadena (12-5) – Bulldogs are walking through the Pacific.
6. Crescenta Valley (15-3) – Should contend in league but no match for Pasadena.
7. Mayfair (13-5) – Five straight in the Suburban.
8. Rowland (12-6) – Raiders need to beat BoHi later this month.
9. Walnut (13-6) – Mustangs 3-1 in the Hacienda.
10. La Canada (11-6) – Five straight for Spartans (three in the Rio.)
11. California (12-6) – So far so good in Del Rio.
12. Keppel (12-7) – Aztecs on top on Almont.
13. Northview (14-6) – League showdown with Nogales next week.
14. La Mirada (12-8) – Still looking up at Mayfair.
15. Arcadia (9-8) – Apaches problem is they’re in the Pacific.
16. Covina (11-6) – Colts had a hiccup vs. BP in only league loss.
17. Arroyo (9-9) – Primitivo Gomez leads Knights to first two league wins.
18. San Marino (11-7) – Titans only league loss is to LC.
19. Diamond Bar (8-8) – Right in the Hacienda hunt.
20. El Rancho (11-8) – Dons have won four of their last five.
