(Whittier) Visko Ancich, son of recently retired St. Paul Coach Marijon Ancich, has been named the Head Coach at Whittier, sources say. Ancich replaces Walter Scott, who stepped down last month.
Ancich served under his father as offensive coordinator at St. Paul. Marijon Ancich coached his final game last Thursday night in the Catholic/Christian Literacy Classic after more than 40 years of coaching football.
Visko Ancich also had a stint as OC at California before joining his father at St. Paul.
Three other head coaching positions are till open in the Del Rio League at Pioneer, El Rancho and Santa Fe.
