  1. The U.S. Men’s Hockey team beat Canada 2-1 in overtime Sunday to win the gold medal. Jack Hughes scored the game winner It was he first time the U.S. team won gold since the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team. 
  2. UCLA football will stay at the Rose Bowl for the 2026 season but there are no long-term guarantees.
  3. Minnesota Vikings receiver Rondale Moore died of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. His body was found in his Indiana home Saturday. 
  4. Hall of Fame second baseman Bill Mazeroski has passed away at the age of 89. Mazeroski was best known for his historic walk-off homerun for the Pittsburgh Pirates in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series.    
  5. The Mountain View Girls Soccer team lost to Buckley 2-1 Saturday in the CIF Division 8 Semi-Finals. 
  6. The Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics 111-89 Sunday to fall to 34-22 on the year.   
  7. Winter Olympics Medal Count – Final: Top 5: 1. Norway 41 (18 gold) 2. United States 33 (12 gold) 3. Italy 30 (10 gold) 4. Germany 26 (8 gold) 5. Japan (5 gold). 
  8. Cameron Boozer scored 18 points to lead Duke to a 68-63 win over number one ranked Michigan Saturday night. 
  9. The Rams are promoting passing game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase to offensive coordinator. 
  10. Former Oakland Raiders receiver/ Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff turns 83 today.
