- The U.S. Men’s Hockey team beat Canada 2-1 in overtime Sunday to win the gold medal. Jack Hughes scored the game winner It was he first time the U.S. team won gold since the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” team.

- Minnesota Vikings receiver Rondale Moore died of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. His body was found in his Indiana home Saturday.
- Hall of Fame second baseman Bill Mazeroski has passed away at the age of 89. Mazeroski was best known for his historic walk-off homerun for the Pittsburgh Pirates in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series.
- The Mountain View Girls Soccer team lost to Buckley 2-1 Saturday in the CIF Division 8 Semi-Finals.
