(“The Ten” is not a top ten, but ten items worth being included in The TEN)

1.) Prince Fielder agrees to nine year $214 million deal with the Tigers.                        

2.) Boston Bruin goaltender Tim Thomas refuses to go to the White House ceremony hosted by President Obama.

3.) Terrell Owens, who earned about $80 million during his NFL career, is now nearly broke.                      

4.) Chip Kelly decides to stay at Oregon.                    

5.) Gevontray Ainsworth transfers out of Covina.                                      

6.) New Pioneer HC Chuck Willig, had 15 interceptions as a cornerback for St. Paul in 1977, then a CIF record.         

7.) Today is the one year anniversary of Brian Zavala’s resignation as HC at Wilson.                                 

8.) Last Year Minnesota’s Kevin Love was the first player since Moses Malone in 1982-’83 to average 20 points and 15 rebounds  for an entire season. This year he’s averaging 24 and 13.                                       

9.) Muir’s Andre Frazier.                                 

10.) Mark Duper of the Miami Dolphins’ Marks Brothers turns 53 today.
