The Saints got a sacrifice fly from Josh Avila to bring in Shawn Kennedy in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Troy 3-2. Daniel Milwee pitched a complete game allowing eight hits and striking out five to get the victory.
Santa Barbara 3 Arcadia 2
The Apaches committed two errors on bunts in the sixth inning and paved the way for a 3-2 Santa Barbara victory. Santa Barbara scored its last two runs on a sacrifice fly. Arcadia stumbled down the stretch losing its last five games while scoring just six runs in 35 innings.

Nick Chico fired a complete game to lead the Vikings to the first round victory.
