Joe T.

Kick it!

The Kings are awesome…I haven’t been this excited about the Kings since Sam Lacey and Tiny Archibald were making it happen for them.

For some reason I just want to say South Pasadena! Watch the Tigers in 2012…They are ready to pop.

Yes, yes, more taxes please!

A broken record is a broken record it just keeps going and going and going…Just like the defenders and advocates for LeBron James who continue to swear up and down, side to side, and from here to Pluto that he is one of the greatest players of all time.

They admit he’s not the greatest shooter, he’s not the greatest passer, not the greatest closer…So what is he other than a three time league MVP who wilts instead of blooms when the moment comes?

I feel like a broken record for saying this. James is a very good player…Very good…He’s Charles Barkley, he’s Clyde Drexler, he’s David Robinson…all very good, near great players…

LeBron is not Kobe Bryant, he’s not Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, he’s not Larry Bird, he’s not Michael Jordan, and he most certainly is not (by a long shot) Magic Johnson. Those guys never disappeared, those guys rose to the moment, James doesn’t.

For all of the unemployed out there…I have great news. Former St. Louis Rams first round draft pick Alex Barron got a job with the Seattle Seahawks…And Barron is about as stiff as a professional football player can be…He makes Big Tony look like a member of the Bolshoi Ballet…So cheer up if you don’t have job, cheer up if your crazy Uncle Chico is down on his luck…Alex Barron got a job…anything is possible.

Dominique Lord getting ready for a comeback at Maranatha…

I love football season, we’re not even out of May and I’ve already alienated the El Monte and Maranatha programs…

You see the things I go through for believing in Whittier Christian?

Always envisioned myself as more of an astronaut than cosmonaut…

Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood is finally retiring. Actually I thought he retired 16 disabled list trips ago.

I’m being told I need to believe in Whittier… “Whittier College?” I ask…No, Whittier High School…the Cardinals…I’m open to illumination. Tough to get past Santa Fe and La Serna.

So many studs, so many stars, how many CIF finals has La Mirada played in since coming to the Southeast Division?

Exactly…

I remember what people were saying when the Suburban arrived with the Matadores and what it would do to the balance of power.

“Not one, not two, not three…”

Yeah, yeah, been there done that, bought that tee shirt.

Ok, i’ll take you at your word, and apologize. It just sounded like a condescending remark. I showed it to my co-workers and they thought the same. I re-read it again , and it could be read as you say.

@La Mirada Guy: I guess Matadores don’t know how to take a compliment. And not to perceptive either. I’m not a Monrovia fan.

Yeah , you forgot the 2009 ring for La Mirada, and there was 1992 and 1980 something. And of course you don’t state your school affiliation. Must be a Monrovia Alumni.
    @Joe Tosorian
Maybe you heard the comments about the suburban going to the Southeast, but here in La Mirada we didn’t think that. We were going up a division. That’s always tougher competition.

Wow, no wonder Aram T. thinks you guys only have 6 readers. I guess you forgot the 2009 championship ring?

From Joe T.: You guys weren’t in the Southeast in 2009.

I like La Miradas continuity. You guys perform year after year. Championships are over-rated at the high school level. Steady performance without a ring under-rated. High five to the La Miradas. Bonitas. La Sernas of the world.

I believe all comments are being reviewed before being allowed to air. Or is it just certain posters?

    From Joe T.: System glitch.

i posted earlier , but comment isn’t going thru

What are you talking about? Our 2010 La MIrada team was star studded(one year only), but lost in the first round. Last years team didn’t have any stars let alone much varsity experience. Yet they made it to the semi’s. Why the animosity? La MIrada has had 2 years in the southeast, and last years team was in re-building mode. So your comment is pointless.

From Joe T.: I can see where that looked like a shot at the Matadores, but honestly it was just a statement about end of the world hysteria. Like the arrival of Sierra Canyon into the Mid-Valley Division…and the Suburban into the Southeast. So many were saying it was going to be all La Mirada/Mayfair…Instead it has been really balanced.

You are right about the trib boys. They make outrageous opinions then censor any and all comments that make them look bad. Only their shills are allowed to talk highschool football.

“Of course, I learned to be light on feet with time in Bolshoi, I tell Barishnikov, “Mikhail, I’m not liking too much this tights, it let everyone know what religion I am.”

Whitter will have to contend with the other two tenants at WHittier District Field before they can even think about the Chiefs. Aww, hell, the whole Del rio League is going to be topsy turvy with everyone except Cal and La Serna with new coaching regimes all ove the league.
