Southeast Division Top 10 (10/2/2012)

How can Dale Ziola’s troops not be back in the top 10 after defeating the back to back CIF champs?

Post Week Five Top 10

1.) La Mirada Matadores (5-1): The class of the division, but they need to keep their edge for the next month. Note to Suburban: The Matadores won’t be running up the score because they want to, but because they have to.

2.) La Serna Lancers (4-1): In a whisper someone down the 605 said the worst thing for this team might have been a week off.

3.) Paramount Pirates (4-1): Something is not sitting right in regards to the 35 points surrendered to Troy.

4.) Norwalk Lancers (5-1): Playing very well…but cannot afford a let down against Mayfair.

5.) Downey Vikings (3-2): Let the pillaging of the San Gabriel Valley League commence.

6.) California Condors (5-0): Could be a top 4 team by mid-October.

7.) West Covina Bulldogs (3-3*): Healthy, but not playing good football.

8.) Bonita Bearcats (3-3): Can they ride the reignited offense to a fourth straight win…in two weeks…against WestCo?

9.) Burbank Bulldogs (3-2): Can sophomore Ryan Meredith be the answer at quaterback?

10.) Los Altos Conquerors (4-2): Can’t explain loss to Diamond Bar, but win over WestCo vaults LA back into top 10.

Knocking at the Door: Diamond Ranch (3-2), El Rancho (3-2) & Muir (2-3)

(*West Covina officially is 2-3 because it forfeited Zero Week win over Covina. For the sake of the Top 10, we recognize the win on the field.)
