Cal looks like it could get caught in the Del Rio net this season

Good Afternoon!

While its difficult to agree on healthcare, can we all at least agree that LaDainian Tomlinson is done?

But what do I know, I drafted Braylon Edwards for my fantasy football team…which, by the way, beat the snot out of former Temple City offensive lineman Josh Ouellette’s team last weekend…Not that I’m gloating or anything…

Yes, Terris Jones is good…but I don’t know if he’s good enough to rescue California High from what looks to be a so-so season…The Del Rio is tough, so tough a playoff appearance might be in question.

When Cal plays La Serna or Whittier is it a home game or a road game? Does the sideline make you feel like you’re on the road…the bleachers…I just wouldn’t like sharing a house with strangers…and I would hate to share a stadium.

I’d sooner play day games on campus…

Thank you CIF!

Yes, I said that…I say it because when they reconfigured the Mid-Valley division they made it possible for schools like Rosemead and Monrovia to not only meet in the semifinals, but also in week two the following season…Tonight’s game…should be a treat…My treat.

While I’ve been up on The Mead, they cannot afford any injuries…None…

On this date in 1998 an interesting thing happened. Arcadia beat San Marino 32-15 at Salter Stadium thanks in large part to back up quarterback Jimmy Slater who completed 9 of 12 passes for 128-yards and two touchdowns.

Nice game for the back up, but what is of note here is after 43 meetings, 40 consecutive, this was the last game of the series. The Titans, who played the Apaches every year of their existence except for 1957, lead the all-time series 22-21.

For what its worth on the same night, Bishop Amat beat Muir 38-0.

Last Add Rose-M-Town: These schools shared time in both the Pacific and Mission Valley Leagues. The Wildcats won all four MVL meetings, as well as six of seven Pacific meetings.

Is there a more brain dead individual on the planet than St. Louis Rams offensive guard Richie Incognito? Dude wears me out.

Yes, what I said on the air this Tuesday was true…I was on a prep high school sideline and player, sitting on the bench, was texting on his Blackberry…

You don’t have to be Nostradamus to guess the player’s team lost.

If you are a football player and want to remain on friendly relations with the Mid Valley News…stay off your skateboard during the season…You’re not only messing with your team’s season, but good football for us to cover…Consider this a final warning…We won’t rat you out in print or on the web…but we will send an email to your coach.

Prediction Rose-M-Town? Edge, to Bueno

Stay thirsty my friends…
