La Puente and Azusa keep spots in the Top Ten.
Post Week Nine top 10…
- Bishop Diego (9-0) – Battled it out with Nordhoff for the Tri-Valley title. Need to stay healthy with a tough match-up left on the road with 8-0 Mission Prep.
- La Salle (9-0) – With only Bosco Tech left, time to get the young guys some time and let the starters rest for a playoff run.
- Nordhoff (8-1) – Had their chances but lost a heart breaker to Bishop Diego. A few too many chiefs on the sideline.
- North (7-2) – Gave up 28 to South and won. Offense is clicking but the defense will need to tighten up once playoffs begin.
- Gladstone (8-1) – Workman suffered the ire of a Gladiator team stung by the loss of an outright league title. Ganesha will share in the agony next.
- La Puente (7-2) – Locked up a share of the Montview drubbing Azusa. Only Workman left to finish 8-2.
- Whittier Christian (6-3) – Got some rest versus Bye. All that’s left now is to beat Valley Christian and see how much respect they get from CIF.
- Bishop Montgomery (6-2) – Only Verbum Dei left on the regular season schedule. A 60 point drubbing is what is required here to gain momentum for the post season.
- Torrance (5-4) – Pasted Lawndale 41-6 to get back into the top ten. Victory will be short lived as North is up next.
- Azusa (5-4) – Losing to La Puente after beating Gladstone is a tough pill to swallow. Better get over it soon or Sierra Vista will end the Aztec season.
