Game Night: Week 10 Southeast Division

Can Burroughs defeat Burbank for a third consecutive year?

Thursday, November 1

Hacienda League

Bonita (5-4) at Diamond Bar (3-6)

Two weeks ago this looked like a blowout, this week it looks like the Bearcats by a touchdown.

Bonita 31 Diamond Bar 24

West Covina (4-5) at Rowland (7-2)

The Bulldogs are going to take a big wet bite out of the Raiders, and put the fear of the Lord into everybody else during the process.

West Covina 42 Rowland 27

Diamond Ranch (6-3) at Walnut (1-8)

Against anybody else we’d pick against the Panthers, but its been that kind of season for the Mustangs. Note to Layton: Keep it on the ground.

Diamond Ranch 34 Walnut 12

Pacific League

Muir (6-3) vs Pasadena (1-8)

“The Turkey Tussle”…Yawning festivals have been more exciting than this game the last few years. If the Mustangs lose, they should turn in their gear right after.

Del Rio League

La Serna (8-1) at California (8-1)

Everybody keeps saying the Lancers are ripe for a fall. The difference between a good team and great team…The great team, which looks the same on the roster sheet, plays better football on the field. For four quarters.

La Serna 28 California 7

Whittier (3-6) at El Rancho (4-5)

The Dons offense will strike like lightening out of the sky. The Cards won’t be able to keep up.

El Rancho 35 Whittier 17

Santa Fe (4-5) at Pioneer (2-7)

Note to the Chiefs: Focus…Focus. They should dispose of the Tians with all dispatch.

Santa Fe 41 Pioneer 8

Pacific League

Crescenta Valley (4-5) at Arcadia (4-5)

Important game, boring teams, but the Apaches have something to play for. This is why they’ll win.

Arcadia 24 Crescenta Valley 14

Burbank (6-3) at Burroughs (4-5)

If the Indians get this win, it will not be because of talent but because of heart. The Bulldogs have too much for them to handle, and Burroughs doesn’t have the tools for a comeback. This ain’t 2010, and Lucas Yanez is not under center.

Burbank 35 Burroughs 19

Hoover (3-6) at Glendale (2-7)

“The Baklava Bowl” goes to the Tornadoes this season.

Hoover 31 Glendale 21

Suburban League

Glenn (1-7) at Artesia (2-6)

No truth to the rumor they are going to cancel this game to go see “The Baklava Bowl”

Artesia 40 Glenn 24

Mayfair (3-5) at La Mirada (7-1)

Hey what do you now, the Matadores are back from vacation. Too bad for the Monsoons.

La Mirada 50 Mayfair 13

San Gabriel Valley League

Paramount (8-1) at Dominguez (4-5)

The Pirates are cruisen for a bruisen…the question is, when does it happen? This week or next? …Next.

Paramont 28 Dominguez 14

Downey (6-3) at Lynwood (3-6)

Keep Justin Huff healthy.

Downey 45 Lynwood 12

Gahr (4-5) at Warren (0-9)

“So long, farewell, to you my friends…Goodbye for now…Until we meet again…”

Gahr 42 Warren 0
