On this date in 2006 sophomore kicker Bobby Maldonado kicked a 41-yard field goal with 21 seconds remaining to lift Rosemead to a 23-21 victory at home over South El Monte…Across town, on the same night, Alhambra handed Schurr a 55-22 Week Ten loss at Moor Field. Anthony Brown ran for four touchdowns and Zion Babb converted a pair of hitch passes into 84 and 94-yard touchdowns. The Spartans would recover to win their next four in a row including the Southeast Division title.

4.) Former Burroughs WR/DB Kohl Adams Hurd turns 20 today.
5.) Los Angeles Lakers 1-4 and in last place in NBA’s Pacific Division.
6.) La Serna quarterback Frankie Palmer has two interceptions on the season. The second was thrown on September 21st.
7.) In the Southeast Division Norwalk was the highest scoring team during the regular season with 399 points. Burbank surrendered the fewest points in the division during the regular season: 156. Lancers and Bulldogs meet tonight at Burroughs High School (7:PM)
