Good Afternoon!

Last thought from a coaching mind on the New York-Miami Monday night game, regarding the Dolphins offense:

“Let me just say that Miami’s Wildcat Offense is the real deal! It isn’t a craze, they run it to perfection!  They put so much pressure on the defense. They force defenses to defend sideline to sideline!  You don’t know who will line up at QB and it is extremely hard to prepare for.  I love it!  And now that Chad Henne is throwing the ball down field with accuracy and confidence it makes it even more difficult to defend. They don’t sub in and out it is the same guys in every set, very tough on any defense,” said San Gabriel OC Jude Oliva.

This just in Boise State has announced that West El Monte Poly has been added to its 2010 schedule.

Is Saturday the whole enchilada for Notre Dame’s Charlie Weiss? Any loss cooks him, a blow out and he’s calling plays for Duarte next year.

A Fighting Irish coach in desperate need of a high profile win…job in jeopardy…Mmmm…Is it time to pull out the ‘Green’ jerseys?

La Canada really has a shot to upset the apple cart for Temple City tonight.

Then again if Bonita can catch Charter Oak napping tomorrow night, that would really be upsetting the apple cart.

My prediction is by midnight Andy Villathedevil, following Burroughs defeat of Pasadena, will be on the Indians bandwagon…and based on the way he is with quarterbacks unless Lucas Yanez throws three touchdowns and runs for two more, Villathedevil will say he had an off night.

Name of the Day: Bonita receiver Toy Lemmons.

Do you realize the Lakers are slated to pay Adam Morrison more than four-million bucks this season? (Now there’s a guy who needs to make an investment in a local newspaper.)

I roll Matt Smith…

On this date in 1993 Temple City got a 13-yard scoring run from Eric McMurtrey and 38-yard touchdown run from Roberto Hern to defeat Monrovia, at home, 14-13.

With 15 seconds left in the contest the Wildcats Damon Griffin caught his second touchdown pass of the night from Felipe Rodriguez. M-Town HC Steve Garrison, saying anytime he had a chance to beat Temple City he was going to take it, decided to go for the deuce. The Rams Chad Larson picked off the attempt and preserved the win.

Hern rushed for 143-yards while, McMurtrey finished with 96-yards. Monrovia’s Griffin caught seven passes for 96-yards.

Stay thirsty my friends…
